Jimmy’s was the very first dream submitted to Dreams from the Hardt back in 2006. When the committee interviewed Jimmy he said that his dream would be fulfilled by meeting President George W. Bush, President George H.W. Bush, or if neither were possible he would “settle for a ride on Air Force One!”
Jimmy’s dream was truly championed by Ed McGeachey, President of Sothern Maine Medical Center, and President of the CWS Board of Directors. Ed never doubted that Jimmy’s dream would come true and on July 22nd, Jimmy personally welcomed President Bush to the dedication of the Dorothy Walker Bush Pavilion at SMMC. Jimmy then went on to enjoy the ceremony and meet several other members of the Bush family and distinguished guests.
Jimmy expressed “from the bottom of his heart” to CWS, Ed McGeachy, Sue Hadiaris, SMMC PR Director, and the Dreams Committee, that it was truly his “dream come true.”
